Strengthening Our Shield: A Keeping Safe Streets Initiative

Ensuring the safety of our streets and the well-being of our residents isn’t just a characteristic of citizenship—it’s a core part of who I am and what I stand for. “SAFE STREETS” reflects my unwavering commitment to bolstering our community’s security, not just with words, but with crucial assistance to approach actions and direct funding.

As the youngest council member, with a young and all female family of my own to think about, the safety of our community hits close to home. I understand the challenges our first responders face daily and the critical role they play in maintaining our quality of life. That’s why I’m championing the push for increased resources to better equip our police, firefighters, and emergency services—because to fight crime and enhance public safety effectively, they need our full support. So, I don’t only vote in support of, but I lead fundraising efforts in order to financially assist and enhance policing efforts.

But this isn’t about simply throwing money at a problem; it’s about smart investments that yield real results. It’s about ensuring our first responders have the latest technology, the best equipment, and the training they need to respond to emergencies swiftly and efficiently. It’s about making St. Albans a place where safety is a given, not a concern.

I’ve stood before the council, advocating for budgets that prioritize our safety services because I believe that a safe community is a strong community. I’ve argued for the importance of not only maintaining but enhancing our public safety infrastructure because if there’s one thing that should never be compromised, it’s the security of our streets and the protection of our citizens.

To the residents of St. Albans, know that I hear your concerns about safety. And while I KNOW that we have a GREAT set of First Responders, I share them. And I’m here, working with them at every opportunity to ensure that our emergency personnel have what they need to keep our streets safe. Together, we can build a community where everyone feels secure, supported, and part of a collective effort to maintain the peace and safety we all deserve.
